We Florida grapefruit growers joined the Ocean Spray cooperative in 1976 following an industry boom that began amidst the "grapefruit diet" craze of the early '70s.
Our harvest takes place between October and April, when the fruit meets Ocean Spray's stringent quality standards for the sweetest and juiciest grapefruit. About 40% of each season's harvest is used for juice while 60% is sold as fresh grapefruit.
