A Spicy Summer Serve

With Summer on our doorstep, it’s the ideal time to invite friends over to make the most of the lazy sunshiny evenings.

But as we can’t always guarantee perfect barbecue weather in Britain, why not try these scrummy cranberry glazed chicken drummers – ideal party food and delicious oven baked!

Ingredients

125g of Ocean Spray Smooth or Wholeberry Cranberry Sauce
2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
20 chicken drumsticks

Preparation and cooking:

Makes 10 servings.

  1. Combine all ingredients, except the drummers, in a large re-sealable plastic bag and mix well.
  2. Add in the chicken, seal and turn the bag to coat the chicken. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or better still overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 200°C. Pour chicken and marinade in an ungreased 30cm x 20cm baking dish.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink near bone, turning 2 or 3 times and brushing with marinade.
  5. Transfer chicken pieces to serving dish and discard any remaining marinade.
