Slap on the suncream
Even on cloudy days, it’s a good idea to make sure you apply suncream before you head out, and make sure to reapply according to the instructions. If you’re unsure what factor cream would be best to use to help protect against sun damage, ask your local pharmacist for advice.

Stay ahead with a hat!
If you want to protect against UV rays, then a hat is the smart way to get ahead. Some hats are better barriers than others, so if you’re planning a day in the sun, choose a dark-coloured hat, with a close weave - and keep it dry. A wet hat can halve its sun protection.

Stay hydrated with cranberry
Keeping hydrated is important when the weather hots up, and Cranberry Classic can help protect you inside all summer long. Preliminary research also suggests that Cranberry could help ward off E.Coli bacteria that can cause some types of food poisoning. So reach for a glass, twice a day.

The eyes have it
Sunglasses not only look good, but they can help you stay good looking! Check your sunglasses offer UV protection, as this barrier can help protect the eyes and the delicate skin around them.

Take some shade
Buildings, trees, umbrellas, canopies – they can all help you take five from the heat. Remember, it’s generally hottest between 11 and 3, so stay out of the midday sun to help you stay the course.

Siesta before the fiesta!
The tradition of having a sleep during the heat of the day is a smart one to follow when abroad. Especially if you want to be able to enjoy your evening entertainment!
